Athletes must be in at least grade 7 and have approval of the head coach.

The Head Coach will divide groups into HP1 and HP2 with specific goals for each group

Local regattas are a part of this program.  You can find more information about the regattas at ADCKC.ca  

Anyone participating in regattas are required to wear a singlet provided by family.  Paddlers will not be able to compete without one.  Information on where you can purchase a singlet will be sent out before the start of the racing season.

Learn to Paddle One Week Camp (Youth - Canoe Kids/Learn to Paddle/Recreational Programs)

Learn to Paddle - One-Week Recreational Program

This fun and active recreational program introduces participants to water safety and foundational paddling skills in both kayak and canoe, while also experiencing what it’s like to be part of a war canoe team. In addition to on-water instruction, participants will take part in team-building activities, games, and age-appropriate fitness activities on land.

Eligibility:
This program is open to children aged 5 and older who have completed their first year of school.

Program Hours:
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM daily
Extended drop-off is available as early as 7:30 AM, with pick-up available until 5:30 PM (at no extra cost)

Registration & Payment:
A non-refundable $100 deposit is required at the time of registration to secure your spot. The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to the program start date.

A 4 week summer introduction to paddling program for the month of July (Mon to Fri, July 6th - July 31st).  Campers will learn the basics of paddling and have the opportunity to paddle in canoes, kayaks and the war canoe.
