2027 Canada Winter Games Team BC Ringette Program - Athlete Declaration of Interest (Late) (U16)

This package includes 

• Participation at at least two (2) Canada Winter Games Identification Sessions 

• A minimum of 2-3 Scouting opportunities between October and April 

Athletes and guardians are encouraged to read the 2027 Canada Winter Games Program Guidelines, and review the recording of the July 2025 Information session, prior to completing this declaration  

After the registration deadline, all declared athletes will receive a link to a survey to complete that will provide the coaches with necessary information to be utilized during Scouting and Identification.  

Identification Sessions 

At this time, Identification Sessions are tentatively scheduled to occur adjacent to the following events 

• Sweetheart Tournament (pending confirmation)
• February 20-22 (One session) - LMRL
• TORL & LMRL regional sessions - March/April

Athletes must attend a minimum of two (2) of the above Identification sessions to remain eligible for selection. Further details will be distributed upon confirmation of ice times. The schedule above is subject to change pending facility and personnel availability and geographic representation amongst declared athletes. 

Scouting 

Scouting will take place during a combination of the following types of events, by CWG Team Staff or approved evaluators 

• Local League Play (LMRL, TORL, Island, Northern League) 

• Ringette BC Sanctioned tournaments 

• Sanctioned partner PSO tournaments across Canada 

• 2027 Western Canadian Ringette Championships 

• 2027 Canadian Ringette Championships 

Prior to commencing scouting, CWG Team Staff will distribute scouting criteria to Declared athletes.  

Declaration 

By registering for this package, I declare that I would like to be considered for selection to the 2027 Canada Winter Games Team BC program. 

• I understand that I must attend at least two (2) of the scheduled Identification Sessions to remain eligible for selection.
