The Prep Camp will run from Monday, August 10 to Wednesday, August 12. Each group will receive two ice sessions per day, with a focus on skating, conditioning, puck touches, and battle drills. This portion is optional and is intended to provide conditioning opportunities for athletes who may not have had access to ice over the summer months.

The CWG Identification Camp will take place from Thursday, August 13 to Sunday, August 16. Each group will have two daily ice sessions, consisting of a morning practice and an evening game. Please note that the male camp & games will be full contact. The Technical Package for the CWG Hockey Tournament is attached for your reference.

Final team selections for the CWG will occur later in the fall/winter and the dates for this camp will be confirmed following the City of Yellowknife Ice Users Meeting, which is typically held in May. Participation in fall/winter CWG camp will be by invitation only.

We recognize that August is a busy time, with many athletes attending tryouts in southern provinces or having prior commitments. If an athlete is unable to attend the ID Camp, please advise so that we can discuss alternate evaluation options.
