Little AquaGO
This program is for swimmers age 5-7. This once/week program is for young children who would like to explore the water in fun and creative ways. At each session they will learn swimming basics while also developing their creativity to help in developing future art swim skills. This is a great way for younger athletes to get introduced to the water in a fun and safe environment! Although they don't compete they do present a small routine at our watershows!
Each class runs for one hour and includes 15 minutes of flexibility. This program aligns with the AquaGO program from Canada Artistic Swimming. Our Little AquaGO coaches will instruct from in the water to further aid in learning and skill development. There will be one coach for every three swimmers. Swimmers should be comfortable in deep water with a lifejacket before registering for this program.
This program is for swimmers between the ages of 5-7 who would like to be introduced to artistic swimming in a recreational setting. This age range can be adjusted based on skill level (ie. some 7 year olds may swim up to AquaGO if they have more swimming experience).

AquaGO
This program is for swimmers age 8-12. As a once/week group, these swimmers learn all the basics of swimming and artistic swimming while enjoying the fun aspects of ‘playing’ and ‘dancing’ in the water. They also engage in flexibility training every session to improve their range of motion. Although they don't compete they do present a small routine at our watershow!
Each session runs for 1.25 hours and aligns with the AquaGO program from Canada Artistic Swimming.
Swimmers should be comfortable swimming at least 25 meters before registering for this program.

Teen Rec.
This program is designed for swimmers age 13-18 who are new to the sport OR artistic swimmers who want to stay active and do NOT want to compete. This group will practice for 2.5hrs twice/ week from September through May and participate in Nova's December and May watershows.

Registrant must be born between 1/1/2013 and 12/31/2014.
This program is for swimmers born in 2013 and 2014. These swimmers train twice/week and compete at the first level of competition across the Province. They are typically still new to artistic swimming or have one year pre-competitive or competitive experience under their belt. Swimmers in this group are introduced to three Provincial level competitions from February to May.
For children 9-10 years old as of December 31, 2023. Any child who is only 8 years old as of December 31, 2023 is not eligible to compete in this age category.

This program is for artistic swimmers born in 2011 and 2012 AND swimmers in their first year of competitive artistic swimming born from 2010-2008 . These swimmers train three times/week and compete at the first level of competition across the Province. These swimmers can be new to artistic swimming or have a few years of pre-competitive or competitive experience under their belt. Swimmers in this group are introduced to three Provincial level competitions from February to May.
For children 11-12 years old as of December 31, 2023.
**It is possible that your child can swim down to 10&Us or up to 13-15s from this age category. However, this decision is decided by the Head Coach based on registration numbers, average team age and swimmer preference following registration.

Competitions are a great way to expose swimmers to other clubs and routines in the province. They are high energy and offer an opportunity for swimmers to show off their positive sportsmanship!
For children 13-15 years old as of December 31, 2023.
**It is possible that your child can swim down to 11-12s or up to 16-20s from this age category. However, this decision is decided by the Head Coach based on registration numbers, average team age and swimmer preference following registration.
