In Season Assessment/Trial (SHORT TERM MEMBER- ATHLETE ONLY-ONCE PER SEASON)

This registration package is for athletes new to the Torpedoes who wish to be evaluated during our trial assessment process OR who were not present for our August Assessment sessions.  There is no Torpedoes fee associated with this, however all members must pay the base insurance fee for AWPA and WPC to be covered during these sessions. This fee will transfer from club to club. All evaluations and trials must approved by the athletic director (athletic.director@calgarytorpedoes.ca) and coaching staff. 

Please note that you are required to sign bond waivers for completion of registration, but this is not a requirement for participation in the trial. 

Bridge Development (2x per week) (PROVINCIAL ATHLETE/COACH)

Torpedoes Bridge Development Program - Part Time

Athletes born 2012 - 2013, Exceptional 2014s

Please use this registration package if you have completed the August Assessment and received an invite to the Bridge Development Program. 

This is a part time program designed for athletes that play for a community club but also want an introduction to the Torpedoes high performance experience. This includes supplemental training in addition to community club practices two times per week.

Practice Schedule

• Monday 6:30-8:00pm & Saturday 12:30-2:00pm 
• Dryland Saturday 11:45-12:30pm (TBD)

There is no planned travel or competition involved as the focus for athletes will be on competing with their community clubs in the AWPA Provincial League. This is a great way for athletes to increase their skill level and get an idea of what the Torpedoes is all about.

Please use this Registration package if you have completed the August Assessment and received an invite to the 14U Selects Team. 

This program is designed for athletes that play for a community club but are also ready to start making the transition to competitive water polo. Athletes will train with the Torpedoes 4x per week, while also training and competing with their local community clubs 1x per week.

• Monday 6:30-8:00pm, Tuesday 8:30-10:00pm, Thursday 6:30-8:00pm, Saturday 12:30-2:00pm

• 2x per week dryland/weightlifting sessions (TBD)

The Torpedoes 16U is a full-time program. Athletes will be required to travel and participate in tournaments and competitions throughout the year. Select 16Us may be invited to train and/or compete-up with the 18Us, additionally 2011s and older will be evaluated and invited to the WPC (RDC) Legacy Training Centre.

The Torpedoes community value the participation of our Seniors within our club and the years of dedication you have given to the sport.  There are no bond requirements for this age group but, we may seek support for our casino and event volunteer hours.
