This camp will be a great way for players to sharpen and refine their skills over the summer months, with elite instruction from members of the CMHA development team.

All to help build players’ confidence and to ultimately reduce the risk of injury when playing full contact hockey.

    CMHA is happy to announce that we will be returning our “Learn to Skate for Hockey” program for new members of the Chilliwack Minor Hockey Association, or players looking to join hockey this season in other surrounding associations. This program will be built towards allowing young players the opportunity to get comfortable on their skates prior to the beginning of their first hockey season! While this program is not mandatory for new players to CMHA, it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that all players registered to play in Chilliwack Minor take part in this program to ease their transition into hockey!

     

    This program will consist of (1) weekly skating from Thursday July 30th -August 27th. This program is designed to keep players moving and increase their comfort levels of being on the ice and learning the game! Topics will consist of:

     

    - Basic balance and skating mechanics

    - Introduction to edge and stride work

    - Work on agility/control

    - Proper stick position while skating

     

    ** Please note that all registrants ARE REQUIRED to have full hockey equipment to take part in this program.
