This registrant category is intended for youth and adult Registrants and their coaches, who train and/or compete year-round in various non-Water Polo Canada sanctioned activities, programs and events.
This registrant category also targets officials who referee at community/regional and/or provincial level events.
Registrants CAN compete in tournaments/Leagues hosted within and outside of Canada. However, each PSO determines the eligible events for this registrant category.

Bridge Development & 14U Selects Program August Assessments - Athletes 2012-2013 (Exceptional 2014s)
The Renegades Bridge Development & 14U Selects program is a hybrid program with your community club. Athletes will either be invited to the Bridge Development team, training with the Renegades 2x per week OR the Renegades 14U Selects team, training and competing with the Renegades 4x per week. Athlete can still continue to train and compete with their community clubs in the AWPA Provincial League. Please review the Renegades Programming Information Document for further information.
To provide athletes with the best possible high performance and development environment, athletes with similar skill-level and ability should be training and competing with other athletes of comparable proficiency on a regular basis. The ultimate goal of this player assessment process is to provide players with a positive experience in an environment that they can grow and remain in the game. This process helps to identify the level of play that is most suited to players at this moment in time. To best group athletes by ability, they must be evaluated. The Renegades coaching team will evaluate athletes and select teams based on a combination of Fall Assessments and Season Evaluations.
All NEW & RETURNING athletes (2012-2013, exceptional 2014) interested in joining the Calgary Renegades for the 2025-2026 season must register and attend the August Assessment sessions. There will be no Renegades fee to attend the assessment, but all participants must pay their provincial affiliation/insurance fee directly to AWPA & WPC prior to participating. This is a one time fee for the year and is transferable from club to club (This fee has likely already been paid when you registered with your community club).

NATIONAL
This registrant category is intended for High-Performance Registrants** and their coaches, who train and/or compete year-round in various domestic and international activities, programs and events including those sanctioned by Water Polo Canada.
This registrant category also targets officials who referee at national and/or international level events.
Competitive registrants are eligible to compete in ALL Water Polo Canada sanctioned events as well as tournaments/Leagues offered by PSOs and clubs.
16U Full Time Program (NATIONAL)
16U FULL TIME PROGRAM - 2009 & 2010
This is a full time program for athletes (2009 & 2010) who are invited to join the Calgary Renegades through the assessment process. Select Renegades Bridge Selects will also be invited to play up on these teams.
16U Training Schedule (Tentative) - Athlete who are invited to train/play up with 18U may have a modified training schedule
- 5x per week water sessions
- Monday 7:00-8:30pm, Tuesday 6:30-8:00pm, Wednesday 7:00-8:30pm, Thursday 8:00-10:00pm, Friday 8:00-10:00pm
- 2x per week dryland/weight lifting sessions
- Monday 6:30-7:00pm & Thursday 7:15-8:00pm
REGISTRATION FEE includes: Membership voting fee, training facility access card, pool & facility fees, coaching fees.
AWPA & WPC FEES (Membership, Insurance, Safe sport) / TRAVEL / TOURNAMENT FEES are not included in the registration fee.
- AWPA & WPC membership, insurance and safe sport fees are paid directly to AWPA & WPC and are non refundable.
- Travel/Tournament fees will be based on tournament, age group, number of athletes and roster selection.
