2026 Programming

Yorkton Canoe Kayak Club offers multiple youth programs that includes CanoeKids and Racing Program.

Paddlers will learn essential skills and water safety while experiencing a variety of watercraft, including:

  • Single, double, and four-person racing canoes and kayaks
  • 10-person Dragon Boats
  • Recreational boats

CanoeKids Summer Camps

Targeted for youth ages 8-12 (exceptions can be made). Seven separate one-week sessions are offered throughout July and August.

Racing Program

Targeted for youth ages 8+. The goal of the program is to introduce youth to the Olympic sport of Spring Canoe & Kayak. 

CanoeKids camp is required for paddlers ages 12 and under before registering for racing program to ensure proper water safety knowledge and paddling ability.

**Does not include Regatta Fees (entry fee, meals, transportation, accommodation, , etc.) or Racing Singlet. YCKC is located in a Regional Park and therefore individuals require either a daily park pass or a season park pass. Please purchase these passes from the Toll booth or the YRLP Canteen.

Registration & Camp Information

  • Camps run rain or shine! If it is unsafe to be on the water due to inclement weather, programming will include fun and engaging dryland activities for participants.
  • Communication: Camp information will be shared via WhatsApp and/or the email you used for registration.
  • Waivers and Conduct: To complete registration, applicants must check all consent boxes and provide a digital signature. The system will not process registrations with incomplete waivers.

Payment Information and Cancellation Policy

  • Payment: By e-transfer to yorktoncanoekayakclub@gmail.com or credit card. A 2.5% fee will be added to all credit card payments. 
  • CanoeKids Camp Cancellation/Refund Policy:

    I understand that by registering with Yorkton Canoe Kayak Club Inc., I am responsible for submitting all fees before the first session of paddling. Payment must be paid in cash, cheque - addressed to Yorkton Canoe Kayak Club, credit card, or e-transfer sent to yorktoncanoekayakclub@gmail.com. Your child will not be allowed to attend sessions until fees are paid.

    I understand a non-refundable registration fee of $20 per athlete is due at the time of registration. This includes membership fee and administration fee. All fees are due the first day of each camp.

    I understand that there will be a 15% interest change on any outstanding fees past 30 days. 

    I understand there will be a $10/day fee charged for early drop off - before 8:45am - and/or late pick up - after 4:15pm - if I have not purchased an early drop off and/or late pick up package. 

    If you wish to discontinue your camp enrollment the following policies apply: 

    1. Refund minus $20 Admin Fee if cancellation is received before the first session
    2. Prorated refund if cancellation is received after the first session
    3. No refund - if cancellation is received after the second class

  • Racing Program Cancellation/Refund Policy:

    Targeted for youth ages 8+. The goal of the program is to introduce youth to the Olympic sport of Spring Canoe & Kayak. 

    Note: Paddlers aged 12 and under must complete at least one CanoeKids camp before joining the Racing Program to ensure proper water safety and skill development.

    • Times: 9:00am-4:00pm (July and August) and 4:00pm-6:00pm (May and June)
    • Cost: $670 
      • You will be charged a Canoe Kayak Canada Membership Fee $7 - $41.50 depending on age. Competitions are NOT mandatory. If you don't plan on competing this season, PLEASE REGISTER UNDER "SPRINT RECREATIONAL" so that you are not charged the CKC fee.
