2026 Outdoor Soccer

Gateway Outdoor 4 to 7 year olds: Micro Soccer

Emphasize skills and ABC’s not tactics.   Fun games, no standings.

Teams: U4 mixed, U5 mixed, U6 mixed, U7 girls, U7 boys

Duration: 2 sessions per week, weather dependent

Season: May and June - Starts early May dependent on weather and condition of fields.

Game Days:

U4, U5, U6: Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00 pm, All games at Gateway Recreation Centre. 

U7: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00pm.  All games at Gateway Recreation Centre.  

 

Coaches: We are also always short coaches due to our large soccer program.  We hope you will consider coaching in order to help the program run smoothly. 

To ensure the safety of all participants and provide a meaningful and enjoyable experience as well as comply with Canada Soccer's SQS program, coaches must be willing to complete the following, for which all fees will be reimbursed to the coach upon successful completion:

  • A Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector. Provided by WPS or RCMP only. (Completed within the past 36 months)
  • A Child Abuse Registry Check (Completed within the past 36 months)
  • Complete the Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders course. (Expires every 5 years)
  • The appropriate coaching certification for the age/stage they are coaching.

 

Registration:

Player Requests Policy:

Player requests will only be considered in the following priority:

  1. Parents that are volunteering as a coach in the soccer program
  2. Both players must request each other on the registration (one friend only)
  3. Friend/Player requests will only be considered for same birth year participant
  4. coaches requests are not permitted

 

Fees for the 2025 Season will be as follows: 

U4-U6       $155.00 plus an MSA fee of $20.44

 

Equipment Required:

Shin guards and running shoes and shorts or exercise pants.  A jersey will be provided with a jersey deposit.

Jersey deposits of $75 is required.  Deposit cheques will be collected at beginning of the season.

 

After Registration:

After registration, the teams will be created. 

A team representative will contact you approximately by end of April. If you have not been contacted by a team representative by April 27, please contact gatewayrec@shaw.ca
