Masters Sprint

Racing isn’t just for kids! The Masters Sprint membership is for anyone 25+ who wants to be part of our competition team. Our Masters coach will run workouts and provide technical advice at all levels, whether you’re an experienced competitor or just getting into sprint boats. You’ll also have access to all of the Open paddling times, paddling alongside our other adult programs and drop-ins. Canoe and kayak are both available to match your interest, with a variety of stability levels to progress through—you can focus on one, or tackle both in whatever mix you like. Crews, especially war canoe, are a standard part of our program and competition, so Masters are strongly encouraged to be involved with those.

Performance Sprint

The Performance programs offer year-round training, and bring together all of our age 15+ paddlers as a unified Burloak team. The program is based on creating a positive and supportive team environment to bring out the best in each athlete, guided by our expert coaching staff. All experience levels are encouraged, but new paddlers should contact us or check out our Intro options first.

Performance Sprint membership gives you access to all of our Performance sprint training sessions, but leaves room for you to set your own commitment level or expand beyond sprint boats. All of the Burloak sprint competitions are available for racing singles, crews, or both, right up to the National Championships. Other paddling disciplines and types of competition are available to explore as well, which might include: surfski, marathon, dragon boat, traditional canoe, or others. A Performance Plus coach will help you set your priorities and decide what you’d like to pursue each day.

Age: 15+ (born 2011 and earlier)

This training-focused program takes Elementary to the next level. Paddlers will work with the Elementary group, but with additional training opportunities and resources designed to start them on a performance-focused athlete pathway. A welcoming team environment and individually appropriate development will still be the core principles, but the workout structure and focus will start to be modeled on the older Performance groups. 

Youth Performance (Birth years 2012-2013)

U14 (with only 10 A.M. - 12 P.M. Summer option)

Price: $ 1928.40 (no HST) + Association Fees (fees from CKC/CKO/WOD) ($101.60)
