Wascana Racing Canoe Club

"We Paddle" is a Canoe Kayak Canada sponsored program.  The intent of the program is to promote inclusivity in the paddling sport. The program targets low income, Indigenous and inner city youth.  Objectives are:

• Make canoe/kayak paddling accessible to low income and indigenous paddlers who otherwise would not have the opportunity.
• Provide a pathway for indigenous athletes to continue paddling in completive programs and the Sask. Summer Games, Tony Cote Games,NAIG Games
• Athletes continue to paddle after completion including at the WRCC or other clubs.
• Establish fundamental paddling skills (entries/exits, balance, boat control skills, strokes) shared by all.
• To provide a fun, safe, and enjoyable learning environment for paddlers to build water sense, comfort.
