Prince George Canoe and Kayak Club

PGCKC Paddling Registration

This is the Registration Page for all our Programs. Details about our programs are listed on our website

  • All the active programs are listed below.
  • You can jump forward to a section by clicking on a menu item on the left <--
  • Not all sections have programs at this time - but more programs will be added throughout the year.
  • Please note that almost all our programs require either an Adult Club Membership or Youth Club Membership as this covers the paddling insurance.
  • Paddler Physique: Our club has a limited number of boats available and that means not every child will fit comfortably or safely within the boats (primarily our kayaks). If we have any concerns about the health and safety of your paddler using our equipment, we will discuss that with you and provide a full refund if we dont have the right equipment to provide the objectives of our program.

Stump Lake BC (Kamloops) Youth Development Camp for Canoe Polo

In partership with the Rocky Canoe Club (Alberta) and under the tutelage of Keegan Smith, a past player of the Men's National team and past Coach of the U21 Canadian Women's team, youth will be introduced to the Canoe Polo concepts, adults and volunteers will learn the skills needed to help further the sport in their local club and everyone will have a grand time.

Dates: July 11-July 15th (plus travel dates down & up)

Location: Kamloops - south to Stump Lake

    http://www.sitesandtrailsbc.ca/search/search-result.aspx?type=Site&site=REC5885

A new Canoe Polo clinic is being organized for July in Kamloops with training days July 11-13, a fun day July 14th and then a mini tournament on July 15th.

The site of the clinic is a lake / campground so families are expected to "camping" and the Head Coach and partner club are creating a basics camp experience to keep prices low.

Canoe Polo was played at the 2022 BC Summer Games in Prince George, we have been training in the pool, and it will be a sport at the 2024 BC Summer Games in Maple Ridge - so kids elegible to attend the BC Summer Games in 2024 might consider this extra training program where most of the kids attending are all new to this sport as well.

More details are coming - but if your child is interested, sign up and we will share the information asap.

We are looking at sending some of our club coaches down but depending on numbers and ages, this is NOT expected to be a PGCKC supervised event - we are expecting at least 1 parent / guardian to accompany the paddler (or group of paddlers if friends/family).
