KCKC Membership + CKBC Liability Coverage + CKC Fees

The Kamloops Canoe & Kayak Club is a registered non-profit society governed by the BC Societies Act.  Membership fees are outlined in the KCKC bylaws and are due each year for an athlete to remain part of the Sprint Competitive Team.

Voting members will be given access to the KCKC Member Portal Page on the KCKC Website in April of each year after membership has been confirmed.

Please review the services the membership fee provides once you open the registration package.

 

KCKC Individual Membership Fee: April 1 to March 31 each year

  • Membership fee
    • Each athlete will be required to pay $300/year
    • This fee is charged to individual athletes to cover general administrative and operational costs, access to facilities, use of team boats, racing team boat repairs, and voting rights at the AGM to the parent/guardian indicated in the registration on their behalf if under age 18.
    • Boat storage fee for ONE boat at Shumway and ONE boat at Pioneer Park OR TWO boats at Pioneer Park
    • These fees are non-refundable.
    • Every person using KCKC property, including for boat storage privileges only,  must purchase an individual membership.
  • Boat usage
    • For Learn to Train and Train to Train athletes there is no fee for using KCKC boats.
    • Performance and High-Performance athletes will be charged a boat rental fee if using a KCKC racing K1 or C1 boat $400. 
    • Adult(s) parent/guardians of the registered athlete members are entitled to use Club boats without charge up to 10 times per season. If parents/guardians would like to use boats more than 10 times and up to an unlimited number of times during the year, they can elect to buy an unlimited pass. All paddlers using club boats are responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear. 
  • Life jackets
    • Learn to Train athletes will be provided with life jackets that will be signed out. Athletes are responsible for life jackets and must replace KCKC property if lost or not returned.
    • Train to Train, Performance, and High Performance athletes MUST have a private life jacket and a life jacket will not be provided by the Club. 
  • Recreational Memberships:
    • Sprint Recreational Adult:
      • Adults 19+ who are Parents/Guardians wishing to paddle in Sprint Boats 10x or more.
      • Sprint Recreational Teens | Ages 16/17/18 - Retired from 4 years of competition and have the Head Coach's permission to train twice a week during the season.
    • Recreational Adult:
      KCKC Adults 19+ who plan to use KCKC facilities for water sports and/or require boat storage at the Kamloops Water Sports Facility or Kamloops Community Paddling Facility.

Note: This package needs to be purchased mandatorily once a year, irrespective of participation in either spring or summer sessions. If this package is purchased while signing up for the Spring Session, there is no requirement to purchase it again for the summer session.

KCKC Sprint Team Season Coaching Fees

Thank you for registering with the Kamloops Canoe & Kayak Club Sprint Team.  On this page you will find the registration information for the HP Coaching Fees for the year 2024:

  • Spring Fees - April 1 until June 31, 2024
  • Summer Fees - July1 - Sept 6, 2024

This package is only for the season coaching fees.

Mandatory Membership fees, CKBC Insurance, and CKC Fees need to be purchased separately. These are to be purchased once a year, irrespective of participation in either spring or summer sessions.

    KCKC Safe Sport Registration

    Safe Sport is required for all athletes U16 and older.  Please review the Safe Sport information on the KCKC Website for additional information.
