Canucks Autism Network - Try It - Spring 2023
Learn to Kayak with our certified NCCP instructors at Cultus Lake. These sessions are taught based on the Canoe Kayak Canada curriculum and lead by instructors who are guided by principles of inclusion and respect.
Our lessons are taught in a safe and fun environment and class sizes are limited to 4 participants. These classes will embrace all beginners. Learn how to get in and out of a boat, launch independently, balance on the water, properly hold a paddle, reverse and forward sweep to pivot, wet exit without a spraydeck, and paddle backwards.
Prerequisite: Participants must be on the autism spectrum, comfortable having your head underwater; and willing to wear a life jacket.
All equipment is provided.

1. 1pm to 1:45
2. 2pm to 2:45
3. 3pm to 3:45

This program is for persons on the autism spectrum. Participants must be comfortable putting their head under water and willing to wear a life jacket.
All equipment provided.
Time: May 28, 1:00pm to 1:45
Participants should arrive 15 minutes early. An email will be sent prior to the lesson detailing what you should wear, directions and where you should park.
