RHCC 2024/25 FALL/WINTER TRAINING

Welcome to RHCC 2024/25 FALL/WINTER TRAINING! This is how we stay in paddling shape when it's too cold to paddle! It's a full 6 months of team dryland and pool training to keep us in shape for the upcoming competitive season. For all of November through to the end of April we will be getting together a few times a week to run, swim, weightlift, ski and stretch. 

Training will run from Nov 2, 2024 through April 25, 2025.

All aspects of the program are considered mandatory unless otherwise agreed to with the coach.

 

Holiday break: Saturday Dec. 22 through Friday Jan 3rd

Family Day break: Monday Feb. 17

Spring break (for those athletes not training in Florida): Saturday March 8 through Sunday March 15.

Easter break: April 18 and 19

    Racing Development will train an average of 5 sessions a week, including weights x 2, swim x 2, conditioning x 1

     

    Weights (Rolling Hills)

    • Tuesday/Thursday:  5pm to 7pm

    Swim (Oak Ridges Community Centre)

    • Monday/ Wednesday:  6:20 to 7:30am
    • swims will run from Nov 2 - March 15. There will be no swims on Dec. 23, 25 and 30, Jan 1 and Feb 17.

    Saturday morning Conditioning (Various Locations) 

    • November & December @ Lake Wilcox Public School. 9-10:00 team game in the gym, 10-11:00 yoga in the gym
    • January to March @ Horseshoe or Hardwood Hills:  9am to noon (tickets to be purchased by athlete separately)

    The Masters program consists of 3 weights/conditioning sessions a week with the option of joining the Monday and Wednesday morning swim and the Saturday morning yoga session from 10-11 at Lake Wilcox PS

    • Tuesday/Thursday with coach:  6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
    • Sunday without coach:  8:30 to 10:30am

    Saturday morning ski 

    • January to March @ Horseshoe or Hardwood Hills:  9am to noon (tickets to be purchased by athlete separately)

    Sunday morning Yoga (*separate fee and registration) 

    • November & December @ Rolling Hills 10-11am

    Optional Swims (Oak Ridges Community Centre)
