Refund Policy


Refund Policy - Sackville Basketball Booster Association

A full refund will be issued if the refund request is received prior to the start of the program activity, less a $25 processing fee. To obtain the refund, the request must be submitted in writing (by email) to SBBA prior to the start of the program activity.

After the teams begin official practices for the season, there is a grace period, until November 1, during which the player may withdraw and receive a 50% refund, less the $25 processing fee.

No refunds will be given if the written request is received after November 1.

The membership fee for Canada Basketball and the Participant Fee for Basketball New Brunswick paid at the time of registration are non-refundable.

Please note refunds will not be issues based on team selection or assignment.  Participation in basketball with SBBA is a commitment to the overall experience,and while we strive to ensure fair and inclusive team placements, preferences regarding team assignment cannot be accommodated through refund requests. If a child is not assigned to a team for the season, full refunds will be issued less membership fees with provincial and national associations.

All notifications of withdrawal must be made in writing (by email) by the parent(s) or legal guardian to SBBA on or before November 1. After that, no refunds will be issued regardless of the player`s participation with their team. Written notifications may be emailed and directed to sackvillebasketball@hotmail.ca. Withdrawals will be confirmed by email by a member of our board.

Refunds will be issued within 10 days of confirmation that payment receipt has been made.

Verbal notification to coaches will not be accepted under any circumstances.
