WFRA Refund Policy (May 2025)
House League Players
Steps to follow for a refund:
- An email describing the reason for the request must be sent to registar@westferrisringette.ca by the player or in the case of a minor, by the parents who enrolled them, as soon as the player is no longer participating.
- The WFRA will review the request.
- Refunded fees will be returned to the player/guardian within a month of receiving the request.
Refund Rates:
- Before Sept 1 - 100% (less admin fee)
- Sep 1 to Oct 31 - 70% less admin fee and RO/RC fees (if new player, see note below*)
- Nov 1 to Dec 31 - 50% less admin and RO/RC fees
- After January 1st - No Refund
For approval for a partial refund after January 1, the player:
- is injured and has a doctor’s note to show that she/he cannot play for the remainder of the season.
If the reason is not medical, the association will decide refund on a case by case basis and reserves the right to deny the request.
WFRA Admin fee is 6% of the original cost of registration to cover the merchant account fees of the initial credit card charge and refund.

*if a NEW PLAYER no longer wishes to continue playing after the first four ice times following their registration, 100% of the fee (less admin fee and RO/RC fees) will be refunded. If a new player withdraws at this time, he/she may register as a new player the following year.
Rep League Players
Rep team player refunds will be prorated based on ice-times played and tournaments played. The administration fee and RO/RC fees will only apply once (either to House League or Rep League) if a player must withdraw from both.
