Registration Refund Policy
Please note: This policy applies to season registration fees only.
Travel tryout fees are non-refundable, except in cases of medical reasons supported by documentation.
Before September 1
- House League: Full refund (only if no Lakeshore Lightning ice has been used)
- Travel: Full refund less a $50 displacement fee
September 1 - September 30
Refunds will have the following deducted:
- $50 administrative fee
- $25 processing fee
- Any applicable OWHA registration and insurance fees
After October 1
- Refund requests are reviewed case by case by the Board
- If approved, refunds will be prorated based on the remaining season
- The following fees will still apply:
- $50 administrative fee
- $25 processing fee
- Any applicable OWHA registration and insurance fees
Medical Exceptions
- Refund requests due to injury or medical reasons may be considered at any time
- Requests must include appropriate medical documentation
- Approved refunds will be prorated and subject to applicable fees
Additional Notes
- All refund requests must be submitted in writing to: treasurer@lakeshorelightning.com
- The effective refund date is when the request is received
- Refunds will only be issued once all Association-issued equipment has been returned
- Credit card processing fees (3%) are non-refundable
- Late fees and fundraising contributions are non-refundable
