2020 SUMMER SWIM SEASON CANCELLED.
We are committed to keeping our community healthy and safe during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic. It is with a heavy heart that the Alberta Summer Swim Association (ASSA) has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 competitive swim season in alignment with the direction of Swim Alberta and Swimming Canada. This was a difficult decision to make, but the socially responsible one given the times we are in.
Registration Fees for the swim season will be refunded if an individual chooses to withdraw their membership as per the following policy:
- Full refund before Rookie days start (less $100 administration fee per swimmer in addition to the cost of the team swim cap and team t-shirt. To be calculated by the Club Treasurer).
- 50% refund at the end of Rookie days (in addition to the cost of team swim cap and team t-shirt. To be calculated by the Club Treasurer).
- No refund from June 1, 2020 until the end of the swim season.
Refund for medical reasons:
- Stony Plain Sharks Swim Club may, at the discretion of the Club Executive Board refund swim fees in part up to June 15, 2020 not beyond (less $100 administration fee, and the cost of the team swimsuit, team swim cap and team t-shirt. To be calculated by the Club Treasurer) for medical reasons only. A Physician’s note is required.
IMPORTANT: It is mandated by Swim Alberta and Alberta Summer Swimming Association that all children are able to swim 1 full length of the swimming pool without assistance prior to registering with the swim club.
