Refund Policy
A written request by letter or email, must be submitted to the Registrar before a refund is issued.
The Registrar must receive refund requests in writing prior to December 15. No refunds will be given after December 31.
After October 1, refunds will be subjected to an Administration Fee (as established by the CPGHA Board), and the OWHA Registration Fee (Insurance Fee). All remaining fees paid, will be pro-rated up to December 1 (OWHA fees and Hockey Canada insurance fees are nonrefundable).
The Refund formula [(cost of registration - $50. - $ owed to team) x (# of full months left in season)] / 7
Full refund minus a $25.00 administration fee will be given to anyone withdrawing before September 1
No refund will be given for those who made a competitive team and then leave for another competitive team. If a player has been through the tryout process and has been named to a CPGHA team and requests a release, there will be a fine of $200 to those who have made the competitive(B/C) teams and a fine of $400 would be applied to those who have made one of the high-performance teams(BB/A/AA). This will need to be paid prior to any releases being accepted. These fines are not punitive in nature, but are a reflection of the financial burden on the CPGHA that such a decision would have after tryouts have closed. Exceptions may be given on a case by case and reviewed by the president and the competitive or high-performance director.
