ASSOCIATION REGISTRATION POLICY
Prince George Ringette Association
1. Purpose
1.1. The purpose of this policy is to outline the process for registration cancellations and refunds during the season by all members of the Prince George Ringette Association.
2. Cancellations/Refunds of Registration
2.1. Refunds of registration applies to regular season registration in all age divisions-Fundamentals 1 to Open 18+. There are no refunds of registration for the FLEX recreational adult program.
2.2. Cancellation of registration on or before September 14th will not incur any penalty and is eligible for a full refund, minus a $25.00 administration fee.
2.3. Cancellations occurring on September 15th to September 30th will receive a 75% refund, minus a $25.00 administration fee.
2.4. Cancellations occurring on October 1st to 31st will receive a 50% refund, minus a $25.00 administration fee.
2.5. Cancellations after October 31st are not eligible for any refund except for medical reasons supported by a letter from a medical professional. Medical cancellations will receive the prorated fee for the remaining season.
2.6. Where PGRA determines a viable team (club or club zone) cannot be formed by September 15th, full refunds will be processed including administration fees.
2.7. Refunds will only be issued after confirmation that the player’s registration fee has been deposited into the Prince George Ringette Association bank account.
2.8. PGRA will issue eligible refunds within fourteen (14) days of receiving the cancellation request. All cancellation requests must be sent to registrar@pgringette.ca.
2.9. PGRA will notify Ringette BC to proceed with Ringette BC refunds once a cancellation request has been received by PGRA. Requesting parties will be notified by email when the request has been submitted by PGRA to Ringette BC.
Refund Policy for RBC Registration Fees
All divisions: $25 non-refundable administration fee* will be kept, the remaining
fees returned are as follows:
○ Withdrawal prior to Sep 15th - 100% of fees returned
○ Withdrawal Sep 15th to 30th - 75% of fees returned
○ Withdrawal after Oct 1 st to 31st - 50% of fees returned
No refunds will be issued after October 31st.
If players are not able to be placed on a team prior to September 15th, RBC will
also refund the $25 administration fee.
Example of a Prorated Refund (PGRA)
If a player requires a refund for medical reasons on October 5th, their refund would be calculated as follows:
Prorate for Remainder of Season: Oct (26 days), Nov (30 days), Dec (31 days), Jan (31days), Feb (28 days), Mar (31 days) = 177 days left in the season.
No. of days left in the season (177) divided by total number of days (198) in a complete season multiplied by 100. 177 ÷ 198 x 100 = 89.39%
Prorated refund for the season= Registration fee multiplied by prorate (89.39%) minus Administration fee($25.00)
4. Registration Limits
4.1. The Prince George Ringette Association may set limits on registration numbers in each division at its discretion, pending board approval, to ensure expectations around ice availability, coaches, and athlete experience are met.
4.1.1. For the 26/27 season. Registration will be capped at 36 players for the FUN 1 to 18+ divisions
4.2. In the event the limit on registration numbers for a division is reached a waitlist will be established on a “first-come, first-served” basis and additional registrations will be accepted in accordance to the order on the waitlist
4.3. The PGRA will close registration on October 15th . Additional registrations can be accepted at PGRAs discretion. This does not apply to the adult FLEX program
