Refund Policy


Withdrawals 11U-18U
Notice of withdrawal must be made directly to the Registrar at clsminorbasketball5@gmail.com

Withdrawals from the program prior to evaluations - players will receive a full refund (less a $50 admin fee).

Withdrawals after after evaluations will not be considered for a refund.  

The only exceptions would be those that are found to be medically necessary, or receive the approval of the CLS Executive.

Withdrawals from the Tykes program must be made prior to the start of the program in order to receive a full refund (less $50 admin fee). Withdrawals after this date will not be considered for a refund. The only exceptions would be those that are found to be medically necessary, or receive the approval of the CLS Executive.

 

When you register a participant a $100 uniform rental/deposit is a required purchase and is set up in split payments. Initial payment is $10 for the uniform rental and will be billed to your credit card during your registration. The second payment of $90 will automatically be billed to your credit card only if you have failed to return your uniform undamaged by April 7th 2026.If you have returned your uniform before that time your pending $90 payment will be canceled and no further action is needed by you.
All uniforms should be returned to your coach on the last game of the season, if you going to miss the last game please return your uniform at the last practice before the final game of the season.
After the final game it is your responsibility to find a way to get the uniform to coach or CLS before the deadline in order to avoid being charged the $90.

1 practice per week Monday thru Thursday, 6-730 or 730-9 ( youngest age groups would get the 6-730 time slot)  
Practices are held in Chestermere unless there is conflict with one of the schools we use, in which case we would us Langdon and/or Strathmore if needed.
 
1 Game per week in Calgary on Saturday at various locations.

U11-U15 teams 
Evaluations to start in the second or third week of September once we have gym availability from RVSD.
( you will receive and email with the specific day, time and location)
league play starts Oct 11th 
league break Dec 14 - Jan 11th 
Season ends Feb 28th
Youth provincials March 5th -8th
 
U18 teams
Evaluations start in the beginning of Sept ( you will receive and email with the specific day, time and location) This evaluation may take place at a non RVSD facility 
League play starts Sept 12th 
Season end November 15th

Overview of the season startup process
 
Registration (once you have registered you will receive an confirmation email to confirm you are registered)
Evaluations (you will receive an email with the date, time and location)
Teams are selected and Coaches are assigned to their teams.
You will receive an email inviting you to the RAMP app for your team(please login to your ramp app)
Coaches will begin adding practices which will appear on your app (ensure to rsvp for all games and practices)
 
We will not know the specific day of your child's practice until evaluations have been completed for all teams and coaches have been assigned to teams
 
* Note Practice locations can change due to school functions, community use staff try to give us early notice but sometimes it is 
not possible so ensure to check the location of practice on the day of to avoid arriving at the wrong location.

September 1, 2007 to August 31, 2008 U18
September 1, 2008 to August 31, 2009 U18
September 1, 2009 to December 31, 2010* U18*
Anytime in 2011 or 2012 U15
Anytime in 2013 or 2014 U13
Anytime in 2015 or 2016 U11
 
*Request for participants to play above their age group can be made to CLS for review. 
 
 
 
We have a lot of teams to evaluate each season this will not all happen in one week. We will be prioritizing the u18 evaluations first as that season starts early. There is no need to email us to ask when the evaluation is happening, when we have the gym and evaluation staff lined up we will notify you via email with the information so you can make arrangements.
Results from evaluations will be sent out after all teams have been evaluated including any teams that may require more than one evening of evaluations.
 
 
 

 

 

Disciplinary action

Any parent, spectator or player found to be in breach of the CMBA code of conduct or any expectations regarding conduct put forth by CLS such that requires a player/parent or spectator suspension ( temporary or permanent ) will not receive any refund in whole or in part for that season. 

Please note CLS will send out updates as needed to ensure proper conduct is being observed via email.Failure to read or understand these conduct updates does not exempt you from disciplinary action.
