Refund Policy


 Withdrawal Process 

  1. The first step is to notify the HGHA Sting registrar at registrar@huntsvillegha.ca by e-mail of the desire to withdraw the registration. 
  1. Once this notification is received, HGHA Sting will notify the affected bench staff along with OWHA and the registration will be cancelled. 
  1. Effective immediately, the member is no longer permitted to participate in any future HGHA Sting ice times or activities. 
  1. There will be NO exceptions. 
  1. The HGHA Sting registrar will notify the executive once the withdrawal process has been completed with OWHA. 
  1. Once a player has withdrawn, they are not permitted to register again until the following season. This is known as the “waiting period”. 
  1. If there are unique circumstances, HGHA Sting may choose to waive this waiting period requirement depending on the time of year and direction from OWHA. 
  1. Refund Policy

A refund will only be considered under the discretion of the HGHA Sting Board of Directors, with the following conditions: 

  1.  All players who leave HGHA Sting before the end of the season may apply in writing to the Treasurer for a return of fees. 
  1. The withdrawal process above must be adhered to. 
  1. The amount of the refund will be governed by the date on which the written request was received and shall be calculated in accordance with Appendix A. 
  1. In the event of suspension or expulsion of a player, neither fee, nor part thereof, will be refunded. 
  1. Tryout registration fees and/or sponsorship monies collected by the player/family are non-refundable and are not covered in this policy. 
  1. Refunds will be issued on a pro-rated basis, as outlined in Appendix A, less any late fees/other unpaid fees, administration fees, & most current insurance fees. 

 

 

Appendix A 

 

Prior to player rostering:  

  • 100% of the registration fee paid will be refunded. 
  • Minus a $50 admin fee. 

Post Rostering (1-30 days):  

  • 75% of the registration fee paid will be refunded. 
  • Minus a $50 admin fee and current insurance fee. 

Post Rostering (31-60 days):  

  • 50% of the registration fee paid will be refunded. 
  • Minus a $50 admin fee and current insurance fee. 

After 61 days post rostering: 

  •  No Refund.
