Refund Policy


Tournament Registration Refund Policy:

All requests for tournament fee refunds must be made in writing to the attention of the IceBreaker Tournament Director (bnwrtournament@gmail.com).

  • There will be a full refund less a $60 credit card processing fee for refund requests made to the Tournament Director prior to midnight (PST), October 11, 2025.
  • There will be a 50% refund less a $60 credit card processing fee for refund requests made to the Tournament Director after midnight, October 11, 2025 and before midnight, October 20, 2025. 
  • There will be no refund on or after October 21st, 2025.

After registration closing date, the Tournament Director will make a final determination of teams/divisions that we are able to host.  When deciding which divisions to accommodate, we consider ice and referee availability and the number teams registered in a division.  If there are an insufficient number of teams registered in a division for meaningful play, full refunds will be given.  If BNWR cannot accommodate the number of teams registered in a division, teams will be confirmed in order of registration.  Full refunds will be issued to teams that cannot be accommodated.

Cancellation of Tournament

In the event that the tournament is unable to proceed due to extreme weather events, public health orders or other reasons beyond the control of the tournament hosts, BNWR will return the team fees less $200 to cover  event merchandise  purchased for participants. BNWR We will connect with team managers to arrange for pickup or shipment of items.

Player Registration Refund Policy:

All requests for registration fee refunds must be made in writing by the individual who paid the fees to the attention of the Registrar (bnwregistrar@gmail.com).

NOTE: This policy applies to fees paid to BNWR.   Insurance/Membership fees paid to RingetteBC are subject to RingetteBC's refund policies.

  • If we do not have enough players to form a full team a full refund will be issued. 
  • Requests made prior to September 1 will be granted a full refund less a $25 administrative fee.
  • Requests made from September 1 to October 31 will receive a pro-rated refund based on the remaining season less a $25 administrative fee.
  • Requests made from Nov 1 to Nov 30 will receive a pro-rated refund less a $75 administrative fee.
  • No refunds will be issued after November 30. Special consideration may be given on a case by case basis such as medical evidence of a season ending injury or condition. 
  • BNWR is not responsible for any monies paid to a team, team manager or team coach and BNWR will not entertain requests for any such refunds.
  • Allow 4 - 6 weeks for refund to be processed back to the credit card used for registration.
