West Winnipeg Minor Baseball Association understands that there are situations where a refund of registration fees is appropriate. However, we do need to ensure that West Winnipeg does not incur a financial loss as a result of any fees that have already been paid on behalf of a registered player. We also need to respect the time invested in our volunteers in managing our registrations and creating teams that included that player.
In order to provide a fair balance between individual choice and the interests of West Winnipeg, the Board of Directors has established the following refund policy:
1). For players who did not register for Tryouts: If a refund is requested before Teams are formed in mid-April, a full refund will be issued, less a $25 processing charge. If a refund is requested after Teams are formed, but before the start of the baseball season, a refund of 50% of the registration fees will be issued.
2) For players who registered for 11U-18U Tryouts: If a refund is requested before Tryouts begin, a full refund will be issued, less a $25 processing charge. If a refund is requested after Tryouts begin, but before Tryouts results are announced, there will be no refund of the Tryouts fee, but a full refund of the registration fee will be issued, less a $25 processing change. If a refund is requested after Tryouts results are announced, there will be no refund of the Tryouts fee, but a refund of 50% of the registration fee will be issued.
3) Players who mistakenly register for Baseball, thinking they were registering for Softball, will receive a full refund of their registration fees.
4) After the start of the baseball season, partial refunds will be considered for exceptional circumstances like a season-ending injury. Medical support documentation may be required.
5). If a player is dismissed from a team for violation of the Player's Code of Conduct, no refund will be given.
